TO know and be known
IT’S TIME TO
SHARE LIFE
When you don't know your neighbor, you are less likely to be invested in their well being. The problems of antisemitism, Islamophobia, and even political vitriol increase when there is a lack of relational connection between people who are different or don't know each other.
There is plenty of room for different beliefs and ideologies, but as we learn to share our stories, our dreams, and our concerns amazing friendships become possible and can change the community, and eventually our world.
SHARE A MEAL
Even food can be a barrier to community connection; but eating together can be a powerful bond.
We go out of our way to make sure that we respect people's dietary needs: halal, kosher, vegetarian--whatever is needed to get you to the table!
SHARED EXPERIENCE
As we share our stories, unlikely bonds begin to form. The goal is not to change our identities or viewpoints, but to learn how to build relational bridges that hold us together despite those differences.
You'll be surprised at some of the joy you discover as those walls begin to come down.
